Here's a thought: if Jammer turns out to be a Cylon, maybe that flight deck accident in "Act of Contrition" that caused the death of 13 pilots was caused by him? Jammer's Name

Jammer was just given a name in the seventh episode of The Resistance: James Martin. I added it to his infobox and modified the note about his name. Probably some other things can be changed as well. --Alpha5099 11:43, 26 September 2006 (CDT)

I'm with you on the "James", but I had trouble with his last name. It sounded like Lineham, or Lieman, but definitely very "L"-ish. Once we have his name nailed down we can move the article to that name like everybody else. --Steelviper 12:30, 26 September 2006 (CDT)

I listened to it again trying to hear "Martin" but I had a hard time hearing that. I listened to it again and it could be an L at the beginning but I may be thinking it is a W. The 1st vowel is definitely a long I as in TIE. The 2nd syllable I believe I hear -mon, -man, -men, -min or something starting with an M and end with an N. Okay, I think I have it figured out. It's Lynah. Lynah? you ask. Yes, Lynah. It's a sly reference to the skating rink at Cornell University, Lynah Rink. Ronald Moore attended Cornell although he didn't finish his degree. Yeah, I hope so too. It's such a petty thing to be caught up on the spelling of the last name of a minor character but here we are. I listened to it again twice and I am emphatically sure it's not Martin. I hear for the 1st syllable either a Wy- or a Ly-. I don't hear an 'a' in the 1st syllable or an R, and I don't hear a T in the 2nd syllable. In light of all this, I think this article should be removed/deleted and replaced with the original "Jammer" until it is clarified by Bradley Thompson or other BSG officials. --Straycat0 11:13, 28 September 2006 (AST)

I'm sure someone will leave this one for Bradley to answer. We've had good luck in asking about names for Cally and Crashdown, and Bradley joined us to correct our Margaret Edmondson name, which was shown in screen caps incorrectly. Given that most of us hear "Martin," I'd rather leave it as-is until other official information tells us otherwise. --Spencerian 15:27, 28 September 2006 (CDT)

Actually, most of the people that have posted here have heard something other than "Martin". I don't know how this guide should be handled for now, but I don't think it's a good idea to have it listed under James Martin when that information hasn't been verified (and may be incorrect). Signaller?

Is there an official source on Jammer's job being signaller? Obviously the yellow jumpsuit shows that he does something different from Chief and the other knuckledraggers. But are the yellow jumpsuit-wearing people ever identified, in show or by crew, as signallers, or is that just speculation based on real-world military practices? Alpha5099 01:51, 10 June 2007 (CDT)

Re-imagined Series definition: initial skills training; can refer to basic military indoctrination, and arms and ground training (TRS: "Fragged"); and basic flight training (TRS: "Miniseries")

Original Series definition: a term for a robot, such as Muffit II (TOS: "Saga of a Star World")

Re-imagined Series definition: Battlestar Group (TRS: "Water"). It also doubles as an acronym for the television series itself.
