Hector was created out of "spare parts" by the ire-instilling android, [[Vector]].  Despite Hector's "heritage", he was the kinder of the two and was built before the death of [[John Fowler]], [[Sarah]]'s father. Hector assisted in constructing the grave and the domicile in time for [[Michael]]'s ship to land on the planet [[Paradeen]]. Hector mistook [[Starbuck (TOS)|Starbuck]], who had shaggy dark-brown hair, as Sarah's oldest child, [[Charity]]. Hector also forgot to disable the transmitter, which resulted in ire from Vector yet again.
