* The Hitei Kan is another, identical, refinery ship in the Fleet. The episode "Dirty Hands" strongly implies that the Hitei Kan is the only existing refinery ship and thus that the Daru Mozu has been destroyed or abandoned. If the ship was destroyed, it likely occurs as a result of the Cloud Nine explosion in "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II" or even as late as "The Passage", having not survived transit through the star cluster. If abandoned, it must somehow occur between the jump to New Caprica and the Second Exodus ("Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II", "Exodus, Part II").
** However, in Guess What's Coming to Dinner?, in a scene showing the Rebel Basestar jumping away, both Tylium refinery ships can be seen together in the fleet, suggesting Colonel Tigh's dialog could have been a continuity error, or suggesting that Daru Mozu is no longer able to refine Tylium for use in the fleet, possibly due to battle damage. The shot can be seen here.
* In "Home, Part I" a refinery ship is referred to as "refueling tanker", but the configuration of the ship is identical to Daru Mozu and Hitei Kan.

Additional Information

Daru Mozu, also known as Refinery 322[1] is a tylium refinery ship that is part of the surviving Colonial Fleet, following the exodus of the Twelve Colonies. It is found by Laura Roslin aboard Colonial One shortly after the onset of the Fall of the Twelve Colonies at the hands of the Cylons. It assists in replenishing Roslin's fleet before being forced to make an FTL jump to Ragnar Anchorage. From there, it is guarded by the battlestar Galactica as the fleet makes an escape towards the Prolmar Sector (TRS: "Miniseries").

The ship receives Tylium mined by Monarch and Majahual following the successful capture of a Tylium asteroid from the Cylons. (TRS: "The Hand of God"). Fleet ships are refueled by pulling along side, and connecting to the ship (TRS: "Home, Part I").

Months after the exodus, a member of Demand Peace, blows a hole in the forward section of the of the ship, killing himself and several of its crew. The damage is eventually repaired (TRS: "Epiphanies").

Daru Mozu's Tylium refining facilities are later destroyed or lost, leaving the second surviving tylier, Hitei Kan, the only source of Tylium in the fleet (TRS: "Dirty Hands", "A Disquiet Follows My Soul"). It is unknown how this occurs, however the ship itself is still part of the fleet (TRS: "Guess What's Coming to Dinner?").[2]

 1. Nameplate on the Daru Mozu's hull.
 2. The episode "Dirty Hands" strongly implies that the Hitei Kan is the only existing refinery ship and thus Daru Mozu has either been destroyed or abandoned. At least one tylier was present on the surface of New Caprica [1], suggesting the Colonials used the ship for materials, or the Cylons sabotaged the Colonial's Tylium supply as part of their occupation. However, this remains pure speculation. Daru Mozu, never the less, remains part of the fleet, and can be seen with Hitei Kan here.
