Interior of Caprica General Hospital.

Caprica General Hospital was a hospital located in Caprica City, Caprica in the years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

Plastic surgeon Doctor Amanda Graystone was a resident at Caprica General until her dismissal (or resignation) from the hospital shortly after details emerged blaming the bombing of Maglev Train 23 on her daughter, Zoe Graystone. Before her departure, Graystone was visited at her Caprica General office by GDD Agent Jordan Duram who informed her of Zoe's connection to the terrorist act (CAP: "Pilot", "The Reins of a Waterfall")

The media frenzy stirred by the accusations led to a group of reporters and protestors to hound Graystone outside of Caprica General, one protestor throwing a bottle that hit Graystone and a reporter on the scene (CAP: "The Reins of a Waterfall").

The interior of Caprica General Hospital was filmed at NRC Institute for Machinery Research at the University of British Columbia. [1] A scene scripted for the pilot episode - but not filmed - showed Amanda Graystone using a holoband to manipulate a robotic arm to conduct surgery on a patient at Caprica General.
Scenes outside the hospital were filmed at Walter C. Koerner Library also at UBC. The location was also used for a brief scene depicting post-holocaust Caprica in "Colonial Day".
