			:: While I see where you're coming from, I will point out that there is very little (if any) basis for your assumption of bad faith. It is our policy that everyone [[BW:AGF\|assumes good faith]] of everyone who contributes, until they prove (beyond a reasonable doubt) otherwise. There are many people who don't actively contribute to the wiki on a consistent basis: some create an account, edit a few pages (correcting spelling errors and the like) and are never "seen" again. Just because one doesn't actively edit the wiki doesn't mean — in any logical way, shape, or form — that they aren't a fan. People can be fans of this Wiki without contributing.

			:: As is the case with many things, there are multiple views on any subject or idea ever presented to anyone who's lived. The ethics of abortion are highly contested subjects that divide many and, like many things, no simplistic "right" or "clear cut" answers exist. There's always a middle ground somewhere.

			:: I have no reason to consider Jmdoman a troll; I see him as a someone with an opinion, who commented on a subject that he was passionate about, and then decided to walk away from the conversation. I also have no reason to doubt that he either watched the show or is / was a fan of it at the time of his post.

			:: At the end of the day, you are responding to something that was written back in nearly a full year ago. Not that I have a problem with that, seeing as you offered evidence on how a mainstream religion declared that "children are property" at one time.

			:: My main point in reverting your edit was that you edited a person's comment on a talk page. It is one thing to edit an article page to remove something, but to remove or edit another person's statements on a ''discussion'' page (where the person's comment is signed) is seen as impolite and in bad form. Unless it's blatantly obvious vandalism (like spam promoting a product) or a string of in-your-face obscenities, then we're fine with people removing that sort of thing wherever it may be.

			:: Having said this, I know where you are coming from, so please don't see my comments as a form of beating you up over it. Greetings, {{PAGENAME}}, and welcome to Battlestar Wiki! I'm pleased to tell you that you have full editing privileges on every wiki in the Battlestar Wiki network. As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the ''Battlestar Galactica'' series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise and [[BW:SEPCON|separate continuity]] materials such as comics and tie-in novels. '''We do not cover fan fiction.''' We're also not a discussion site, although we do have an ever-growing [http://www.battlestarforum.com Battlestar Forum] where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!

To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our [[BW:TUT|tutorial]], experiment in [[BW:SAND|the sandbox]] (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic [[BW:POL|policies]] (which have important differences from other SF wikis). For some general questions and answers about the navigation and operation of the Wiki, check out the [[Battlestar Wiki:FAQ|Frequently Asked Questions]] (FAQ).

Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the [[BW:CN|Chiefs' noticeboard]] (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the [[BW:GQ|Galactipedians' Quorum]] (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").
