			Welcome to Battlestar Wiki! After running our [[BW:CHECKUSER\|checkuser process]], I've noticed that you (or someone from your IP address) also signed up [[User:Centurian]] and [[User:Chicken]]. Do you happen to take ownership of these user accounts as well?

			If so, please note that multiple usernames from the same person are highly discouraged, since these can be viewed as sockpuppets. (That is, people who are trying to create the illusion of multiple persons via the use of multiple screennames for various purposes, such as emulating consensus where there isn't any, etc.) As such, I must request that you choose one -- and only one -- of your three screennames to retain. The other two will be removed.

Greetings, Chicken, and welcome to Battlestar Wiki! I hope you enjoy your stay with us and am looking forward to your contributions to the Wiki! Why not begin by telling us a bit about yourself on your own [[User:Chicken|user page]]?

As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the ''Battlestar Galactica'' series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise. Presently, we don't cover fan fiction, but our sister-site, [http://www.battlestarpegasus.com Battlestar Pegasus] (which will soon open) shall do so. We're also not really a discussion site, but we do have an ever growing [http://www.battlestarforum.com Battlestar Forum] where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!

To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our [[BW:TUT|tutorial]], experiment in [[BW:SAND|the sandbox]] (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic [[BW:POL|policies]] (which have important differences from other SF wikis).

Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the [[BW:CN|Chiefs' noticeboard]] (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the [[BW:GQ|Galactipedian's Quorum]] (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").

Furthermore, if you don't wish to see the ads, then please consider upgrading your account to a [[BW:MEMBERSHIP|paid membership]], which costs only $10 USD a year and helps support the wiki financially.
