''Redemption'', published in 2005, concluded with a deliberate cliffhanger ending featuring [[Baltar (TOS-RH)|Baltar]] and [[Imperious Leader (TOS-RH)|Imperious Leader]] in the astral plane, with Imperious Leader announcing "Thanks to your invaluable contribution, we can finish what we started." According to Hatch, books seven (''Redemption'') and eight (''Discovery'') were written as a two-part story, with the rights being lost before the eighth book could be published. The novel remains unpublished, and the manuscript's current status and ownership are unclear.
