A [[Viper (1880)|Viper]] pilot, his former wingman and friend is [[Starbuck (1880)|Starbuck]]. Starbuck owes Apollo a life debt, which Lady Athena uses to her advantage following Apollo's abduction during the [[Cylonic]] suicide attack on Caprica.

After Apollo's abduction by the Cylonics, he is brought before [[Imperious Leader (1880)|Imperious Leader]] [[Baltar (1880)|Baltar]] aboard the [[aetherprison]] ''[[Proteus (1880)|Proteus]]''.
