Military Ranks

Just a few concluding remarks I don't blame you for what you did, where I in your position I would have done the same thing. The reason I didn't respond to Serenity's first post was because until yesterday I had been unable to figure out how. As far as fear of retribution, I've never really been involved with a wiki before so I wasn't really sure what to expect and was kind of intimidated. I appreciate you're addressing my issues. Not only did it help me understand why things were happening the way they were, but it also made me feel like my input was welcome and that was all I was asking for. I am anxious to see any clarification you can offer in the weeks ahead because I find this a rather fascinating topic.

In Latin America, Season Four of Battlestar Galactica airs on Saturdays and Sundays on Space.

Dynamic Page List

Hi, I just checked all feature about BW and I didn't see the Dynamic Page List feature. Do you plan one day to install it because it's very useful?--LIMAFOX76 20:32, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Examples

Here are some examples I made for the Stargate Wiki FR:

• To see minor characters:
  • Automatic generation of a line with five stamps using DPL with entry of the series, the season, and the first article sorted.
  • Automatic generation of minor characters for the first page with automatic sort by last name
  • Automatic creation of minor character stamps page links with automatic image update and automatic update of the first and the last character name of this page.
• To see objects:
  • Automatic generation of a line. All you juste have to do is to put the correct category.
  • Autogeneration of a page with the famous lines.
• To resume objects in a bottom navigation bar:
  • Nav bar automaticaly updated (put the right category)

All you have to do with this kind or templates is to put the right category and DPL (with a purge) will do the rest. The main purpose of DPL is to avoid editing when the database can do the stuff for you. You don't have to edit an article or a template to update with new article of the same category. --LIMAFOX76 08:28, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

What about RFA and RFB for French BW ?

Hi Joe,

I'm on the verge to edit the policy for the french version of Request for Admninship and Request for Bureaucratship. I need your help for this two policies.

1. Do I just translate the English version with the same vote system than the main site?
2. Do I have to do it in another way?
3. Is the principle of request the same than the main site?

If you have any suggestions as to improve the policies in question, then that would work well. Until the French wiki has more contributors, I don't think the RFA and RFB are really going to work all that well, and so administrators are promoted on a case-by-case basis as determined by you, me, and Shane. -- Joe Beaudoin ^{So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus} 13:10, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Until I design or translate all the templates needed and the main page, I think there will not be a lot of contributors. The main problem is the lack of French and French-speaking people who speak English fluently. French people are not very confortable with English, so it's very difficult for them to contribute unless they have seen the show and are fans. With your agreement, I will just create one page for RFA and RFB with the statement you said above (Shane, you and me).
FYI, all the episodes of the Re-Imagined Series have been aired in France, and have been released in DVD format (I just saw the Season 4 Part 2 Set yesterday in a supermarket) . --LIMAFOX76 14:22, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi again,

I can see on the Support section of the sidebar many links to affiliates (like Amazon and iTunes). Can I (or not) create similar links to french Amazon and iTunes store with french official stuff from Battlestar Galactica Franchise? --LIMAFOX76 18:06, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
