Milky Way

The Milky Way galaxy is the name given by the humans on Earth to their home galaxy.

The Super Scouts apparently know specific information regarding the galaxy; an older male Super Scout corrects Marcy by saying that the number of stars is 114 billion, and not the 110 billion she mentions during her presentation (The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I).

Notes

• There is some confusion as to whether or not the Cyrannus galaxy is in fact the same as the Milky Way.
• As of early 2006, the Milky Way galaxy is estimated to contain 200 million stars^[1]. This number may be expected to double in size, if small stars predominate^[2].
