This is an archive successful proposal that was vetted through the Think Tank, a place where ideas of all kinds are proposed and worked upon by the community prior to implementation. Please do not modify this proposal.

Audio Project

Many of our pages here at the Battlestar Wiki are relatively stable, meaning that they are not revised on a major level (such as your massive rewrite or addition that changes the entire focus of the article). Therefore, I am looking for people who can offer an audio version of our more stable pages.

In order to coordinate such an effort, we would create the project page, Battlestar Wiki:Audio Development, and establish a set of guidelines that would be adhered to. Obviously, people who have good oral presentation skills -- and maybe those who don't often contribute with text or images -- would no doubt be quite useful to us in this endeavor.

The point of having an audio-version of Battlestar Wiki would be to eventually create an audio version of the Wiki that would be distributed on CD available for download.

Additional benefits would include:

• aiding the visually impaired fans in using Battlestar Wiki as a resource to learn more about the series;
• and having people who would rather listen to a text rather than read it have that option in the first place.
