Born in [[w:Brooklyn, New York|Brooklyn, New York]], Daniels has portrayed many critical but competent characters in his career and is known for his distinctive voice. His association with ''Battlestar'' creator [[Glen Larson]] would land him in co-starring roles in more successful Larson TV series, particularly ''[[w:Knight Rider|Knight Rider]]'' as the voice of "K.I.T.T", the sentient Knight Industries Two-Thousand "supercar" central computer with a main sensor that (not so curiously) resembles the eye sensor of a [[Centurion (TOS)|Cylon Centurion]] from Larson's earlier works. Daniels won an Emmy for his role as Dr. Craig in the 1980's TV medical drama, ''St. Elsewhere''.
