- This episode's title is a pun on the title of the 1926 Hemingway novel The Sun Also Rises.
- The model ship which Adama destroyed in the previous episode is still sitting on a shelf in his quarters.
- Romo Lampkin exhibits symptoms of Kleptomania. Over the course of the episode he steals many objects of little or no value including President Roslin's glasses and Baltar's fountain pen.

- Ron D Moore, in his November 29, 2006 blog, stated that Mark Sheppard would play a major role in the last three episodes of the season.
- According to the podcast The Battlestar Roundtable, Mark Sheppard will play Romo Lampkin, a very unusual man who talks too much and is a lawyer involved in a very important case in the Colonial Fleet. His story arc will carry through the last 3 episodes of the season.
