Sources for the Original Galactica

We always walk a thin, wobbly rope when trying to gather information on the Original Series since time has allowed fans and official sources to mingle about until we can't easily discern what is authentic or not.

I had updated this page with a Source heading per convention and pulled the references that Mokwella added recently. However, fan sources such as the Battlestar Galactica Tech Website are not considered canonical unless it cites its official sources. As such, I doubt I or others of the Citation Jihad will let this stand for long until we confirm this information.

Magazine sources such as venerable Starlog magazine, given its localized information current at the time of its publication, could be counted as canon if the article gathered information from cast and crew interviews at the time.

When in doubt, use only the information stated or logically derived from the aired content of the Original Series. The DVD collection of the entire Original Series, including "Galactica 1980" is understandably the best resource of all. ---Spencerian 14:14, 27 December 2005 (EST)

Ship Data Template

When this is expanded upoun, the ship data template can then be added. ---Shane (T - C - E) 07:53, 8 April 2006 (CDT)

Major Revision

I've heavily conventionized and concised this article per the cleanup tag, now removed. Sadly, as there are very, very few official sources or data about this ship, I felt obliged to remove the request for expansion. Further additions would only discuss episodic events and not the technical particulars of the ship, for which should be this article's primary role. As noted in this talk page earlier, it can be very difficult to differentiate the official data from fan fiction, given the age of the show, so I recommend to all contributors to err on the side of less than attempting to "fill" this article with further unsourced data than it already has. --Spencerian 10:05, 25 July 2006 (CDT)
