- Battlestar Galactica has been nominated for four Emmy awards. The episode" Exodus, Part II" has been nominated for "Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series", "Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series" and "Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series". Together, "Occupation" and "Precipice" have been nominated for "Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series". A list of all the nominations can be seen here.
- A 30th anniversary reunion celebration called "GalactiCruise" will be held in 2008 from September 15th through the 19th. Terry Carter (TOS's Colonel Tigh), Jack Stauffer (TOS's Bojay), Denny Miller (TOS's Ser 5-9), and Aaron Douglas (TNS's Galen Tyrol) have been confirmed, with many more planning to make it, including Richard Hatch (Apollo/Tom Zarek), Anne Lockhart (TOS's Sheba) and cast and crew from the new and original series, as well as people who participated in "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming". - Five members of the Battlestar Galactica cast appear in a three-part question-and-answer session on IGN.com.

- The SciFi Channel has announced that Season 4 will be the final season of Battlestar Galactica. Ron Moore and David Eick stated that this was a creative decision by the staff.
