A rescue team of 20 Raptors is sent by ''[[Pegasus]]'' to [[Caprica]] to rescue any remaining survivors. 3 Raptors are lost on the way and On the final jump to Caprica, [[Raptor 612]] is lost because it jumps right into the middle of a mountain. The remaining Raptors continue on, then Starbuck, [[Karl Agathon|Helo]], [[Sharon Agathon|Sharon]] and the Marines continue on foot. | |||

[[Kara Thrace|Starbuck]] is overjoyed to see him, but Anders warns that the Cylons are right behind them; the resistance's base was ambushed that morning, and half of Anders' men are dead ([[Lay Down Your Burdens, Part I]]). | |||

They wait 18 hours only to discover that the Cylons have left permanently; [[Cavil]] mysteriously appears and claims that the Cylons are leaving and that humanity is spared.
