Snake is the callsign of a pilot who flies as Jo-Jo's wingman, when Jo-Jo is killed by Scar. Snake survives the engagement and reports Jo-Jo's death to Galactica.
He is assigned at short notice to replace Captain Thrace when she feels that she is in no condition to fly (Scar).
Notes
- In an alternate scene, when President Roslin is discussing the strategic ore with Admiral Adama and Colonel Tigh, there is a voice-over by Snake in which he is killed by Scar. Obviously this is an error, since he is mentioned as Jo-Jo's wingman much later in the episode. It is also possible that his name is used later because the earlier scene was already discarded.
