:: Remember what Admiral Adama (or was it Colonel Tigh) observed about the Cylons, "The Cylons never do anything without a reason".  The plan could simply refer to their goal of replacing the human race's place in the eyes of their God, encompassing the assumption of human form, destruction of the humankind, and the attempts at reproduction and cross-breeding with humans to merge and supplant them.-- [[User:Fredmdbud|Fredmdbud]] 00:48, 31 January 2008 (CST)

==Music==
I originally had the UK DVDs, and the music played over the opening credits was the the Hindu chant (used later in the US) for every single episode. However, I've now upgraded to the Blu-ray set, and the first season music has gone back to the different instrumental piece used originally in America. Is it not worth mentioning this, or at least something about the different music used, somewhere in this article?--[[User:HuDaFuK|HuDaFuK]] 16:07, 9 November 2011 (EST)

Revision as of 21:07, 9 November 2011

I'm surprised there hasn't been an article on this. They have something of the sort along Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series), but I'm sure we could do way better. DrWho42 08:12, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

I don't really see the point. What more could be done that a point by point summary of the image sequence? --Serenity 09:22, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Bleh. I have to say I really don't see the point either. I suppose we can make mention of the title sequences in the appropriate season pages, but an article on it is just a bit overdoing it, I think. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 10:04, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, it might be overanalzying things a bit, but a few things could be consolidated. We've already noted that use of episode titles at the start of a few season 1 episodes, a practice that stopped fairly fast, but that's noted only in 33. The brief appearance of USS Enterprise in the season 1 opening credits is covered in The Fleet (RDM). The survivor count has its own article. The lack of survivor counts (in the first S3 episodes) should have been noted in the episode guide for Collaborators, but isn't. Perhaps I can make this into a super-disambiguation like Battlestar is, and point to the specific articles and flesh out this stuff per separate article. --Spencerian 10:52, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I like that idea. I say go for it. ;-) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 10:58, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Actually, it turned out I could make an article of it. It's linked like crazy, but that's how it should be, I think. Better than a disambig. I tossed in TOS credits as well, and Galactica 1980 could go in, too. Others might remember more of the credit sequence to flesh it out more. --Spencerian 11:25, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Looks good. Now we just need to find some articles to link this --Serenity 11:42, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Contrary to what I thought this turned into an interesting article. There are quite a few permanent and one-off changes throughout the run off the show, like the changes to the text displayed, the survivor count, the logo change, etc. --Serenity 04:09, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

Rapid flashes[edit]

On my DVDs (the only source of BSG I have) I get a series of rapid flashes of the forthcoming episode after the Survivor Count. Is this the same on TV? OTW 13:17, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Yes, it's part of all episodes, except for early Season 2 up to "The Farm" I believe. I'll note it --Serenity 13:19, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

What's the plan?[edit]

The "and they have a plan" thing has been driving me crazy. What's the plan already?--Isaac32767 17:09, 30 January 2008 (CST)

We'll find out next season... :P -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 18:10, 30 January 2008 (CST)
