:::: Hotdog may be a Lieutenant at the time of LDYB or even already at the time of "Scar", but he probably he wasn't one in "Final Cut." At least this is what I infer from Lee's dialogue: "Constanza, get the hell outta here. It's the last time you come in a senior officers quarters, go, move." Kat, however, appears to be allowed to stay there. But then again, I have no military experience whatsoever, so I'm not sure whether Lieutenants are senior officers or not. -- [[User:Pedda|Pedda]] 07:54, 18 August 2006 (CDT)

:::::Going by the uniform piping, everything up to Major is a "junior" officer. However, I'd imagine that- in this case- Lee was referring to the seniority of the pilots in question. --[[User:Madbrood|Madbrood]] 13:05, 29 September 2006 (CDT)

Rank

I don't think we can assume Hot Dog is a Lieutenant just because Kat is. She's a much better flier than he is (she flies on par with Starbuck, apparently), so she may have been fast tracked a bit. I'm not saying Hot Dog sucks, but just that he's a "normal" pilot. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kat had earned a promotion to Lt. JG for being a badass. That's on the promotion paper work, you know. "Badass" is. You know... Reason for Requested Promotion: Valor [ ] Bravery [ ] Extended, Quality Service [ ] Badassery [X]. I'm sure of it. --Day 03:06, 4 February 2006 (EST)

She was still nothing special in Final Cut, which was when we learned her rank, although perhaps we should just leave his rank as unknown. --Peter Farago 03:09, 4 February 2006 (EST)
Hey, Hot Dog bravely assisted Starbuck in Act of Contrition, and destinguished himself well in the Battle of the Tylium Asteroid. My point is that he's one of the (what, like 3?) few surviving original batch of nuggets, so he's been in there a LONG time, plus he was pretty good to begin with (everyone else was a "boonie-jumper", he was a Viper academy washout). So although we really arent sure of his rank, I think he's most probably a Lieutenant. --Ricimer 03:14, 4 February 2006 (EST)
Okay. I'm convinced. Good thing I didn't edit it. Now I don't have to revert myself. *wink* --Day 04:29, 4 February 2006 (EST)
