Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!
Greetings, Crusier, and welcome to Battlestar Wiki! I hope you enjoy your stay with us and am looking forward to your contributions to the Wiki! Why not begin by telling us a bit about yourself on your own user page?
As you may already know, Battlestar Wiki covers all the Battlestar Galactica series from past to present, in addition to authorized merchandise. Presently, we don't cover fan fiction, but our sister-site, Battlestar Pegasus (which will soon open) shall do so. We're also not really a discussion site, but we do have an ever growing Battlestar Forum where people can discuss the various shows and non-BSG topics as well!
To get started on the wiki, we suggest that you check out our tutorial, experiment in the sandbox (a test editing area for those learning wiki code), and review some of our basic policies (which have important differences from other SF wikis).
Of course, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to bring them up at the Chiefs' noticeboard (which is frequented by the administrators of the Wiki) and at the Galactipedian's Quorum (which is the hub for contributors, who are called "Galactipedians").
Furthermore, if you don't wish to see the ads, then please consider upgrading your account to a paid membership, which costs only $10 USD a year and helps support the wiki financially.
Thank you for joining us! Hope to see you soon!
I'm opening this here, so someone sees this and the proposal can be discussed. The proper way would have been to make a post on the Chiefs' noticeboard, or a post on an admin's talk page, like Joe's or Shane's. --Serenity 06:43, 3 December 2007 (CST)
Hi there, Crusier! To start a Polish wiki, begin by following the directions here. Should you have any questions, of course, please do not hesitate to ask! -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 09:31, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- You won't have to start from scratch completely: User:Glizda101 has already done some work. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 09:56, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- In general I think it's a good idea to actually have some people around, and to have an idea of what needs to be done. No point in adding a proper wiki and then having it die in its infancy, because it's just one or two people doing the work. --Serenity 11:14, 3 December 2007 (CST)
