Areola is the female leader of the people on Sirenus.

She is outraged when Galactica's miners disrespect the ruling females and incite rebellion within the oppressed males of her race. In reaction to this, she has them thrown off the planet and withholds desperately needed solenium crystals from the Colonials.

However, Areola does offer to make a deal for the crystals. In exchange for the crystals, she will accept nothing less than Captain Starbuck, who she wants as one of her concubines (A Queen's Ransom).
